GREAT CARRY CASE

First of all, this is for the original Leapster or Leapster-2. Not for the L-Max. We got this as a gift from a relative, but our son had a L-max at the time. So we couldn't use it. A year later we got the Leapster 2 LeapFrog Leapster 2 Learning Game System - Green so we got the case out of storage and used it for the new Leapster 2. It offers great PROTECTION for the unit. Our 5yo can open and close it without any problems. It can store 4 games. Three in the bottom, and one left in the unit, which will fit nicely at the top of the case. You could put one or two cartridges more on top of the unit, but I don't recommend it. You could scracth the screen of the unit by doing so. So better don't do it. We feel 4 games in the case is enough for him to take with him where ever he goes. I usualy just let him take 2, sometimes 3 games with him. The rest we keep in a separate Zip-lock bag (for now). He has a total of 6 games now. At home he just keeps all the games in the Zip-lock, and only the one that he's playing with stays in the case. Works fine. We don't feel a for more storage. I also like the nice bright green color. Most of all, I like the PROTECTION it provides to the unit. GREAT PRODUCT! But in case you need more space take a look at the LeapFrog Leapster Messenger Bag.
Terrific Product.

This is a great compact case to hold a leapster and a few game cartridges, while small and light enough for my six-year-old to carry. I can also safely chuck all the white plastic boxes in which the cartridges came. Love it.
Exactly what I was looking for!

This case is well priced for what I need it to do. It doesnt have any extra pieces that my child would eventually lose. Simple construction, easy for my 5 year old to zip up and it stores extra cartridges in the bottom. Highly recommend over the other pricey cases out there.

My four year old loves his game!! He has so much fun with the downloaded Dragon game and we also have the Diego Rescuers game too. We've had to actually set "game times" since he's never been a video game player and he was wanting to play all the time! I love that he's learning while playing, that was a major selling point for me!
Good Protection

The green part of the case is harder so it offers good protection. Leapster fits nicely within case, 3 games fit underneath. The little space under the leapster has a band across and you slide the extra cartridges underneath that, side-by-side. Maybe not the best little storage compartment but when the leapster is on top and the case is closed up they're not going to go anywhere. A fourth game would be stored by leaving it in the leapster, it fits in like that. You could actually store a fifth if you want to place one on top of the leapster screen. It fits in very nicely like that and the shell of the case should be hard enough to protect everything but you might get the screen scuffed up a bit that way. My 3 1/2 year old has no problem with the zipper or getting his leapster into the compartment and closing it up.
